Puella's laughter sparked a small light of hope in my very heavy heart. I knew I would survive the crushing grief within me and I needed to make decisions about what I wanted for my life.
There has been talk of all the sisters going off together to find a new home, but in every family there are those with different ideas, different opinions.
It has been decided that each sister shall choose for herself where she will call home. Some will seek the shelter and security of mountain life, some will stay in familiar territory, not willing to uproot or face new challenges.
Of course in every tribe, in every family, there are those are plagued cursed or blessed with wanderlust and adventurous spirits;souls who willingly venture into the unknown.
I guess our weary band of warriors qualifies us as wanders. For we leave here aimlessly heading towards the sea not really knowing what lies ahead of us only what we leave behind.
We need not tarry here. For ahead of us lies the time to heal, to laugh, to play to sing,to love and to forgive, to just get back to being us. Amazons.
Fortunately, absolute victory affords the victor a choice. Many of us have no fight left in us, devoid of any desire to chase, to kill or to maim. We chose peace. We just want to be allowed to just be.
If the Fates be with us we will find our way to begin again. To forge a new tribe with a blend of old and new members. To live amongst our own with our customs, our rules, our laws... to live as we see fit. We seek simply to exist and to continue the honorable tradition of a strong Amazon Nation.
